This Privacy Statement is issued by the Allpyramids Limited the owners and operators of the GolfView Hotel and A Shore Thing Villa in the parish of Manchester in the island Jamaica (hereinafter collectively called “GVH Properties” or singularly referred to as “GVH Property”) and applies to information that we collect and use in the course of our business. If you make a reservation to stay at a GVH Property, your information will be processed through our third party booking engine Cloudbeds which is equally bound to keep your information confidential.

We may collect personal information directly from you, about you from other persons/entities/online channels, and automatically as you use our website, social media pages, over WIFI or in person. In particular, we collect and use information about you if you (or someone on your behalf) makes a reservation to stay at a GVH Property, participate in our loyalty program, or interact with us through telephone, email, WhatsApp or other mobile app or in person or any other selected method of communication with us. You do not have to provide us with your personal information in order to access our website or social media pages; however, we may not be able to provide services to you such as securing a reservation without your personal information. If you do not wish for us to collect, use and disclose your information, please refrain from providing same to us for services required.

Reason for Processing Your Personal Data

We are bound to collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Statement or applicable data protection laws. We do so where we have an appropriate legal basis such as:

• you have consented to us using your personal information by reserving our products or services;
• our use of your personal data is necessary to perform our contract with you, for example, making and managing your booking in accordance with the terms of our agreement with you;

If you register for our loyalty program, we may send you personalized offers based on your web usage and location. You can opt out of receiving these offers at any time

Our goal is to create a memorable experience for you when you stay at a GVH Property. In order to determine appropriate advertising and to customize your experience, we may have relationships with companies such as Google and Facebook which enable us to match their users across sites and devices to better understand your interests. We use this information to enable us to customize our marketing communications to tell you about things which are most likely to be of interest to you. You may at any time request that we discontinue the use of your personal data for this reason.

GVH and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, tracking tools and other similar technologies on our websites, mobile applications and in other areas of our business to collect information and provide you with the services that you have requested or participate in and to provide targeted advertising. We may use this and other information we collect, to help us and our service providers identify other devices that you use (e.g., a mobile phone, tablet, other computer, etc.). If you are using our mobile applications and have consented to sharing your location information with us, this information might be collected through GPS to enable us to provide certain personalized services to you such as customized offers and promotions. Your location preferences can be set or modified at the device level or through modifying your settings with the relevant social media platform. You may also provide us with personal information about you in various ways when you use the Wifi, for example, when you send us customer service-related requests.
• Device Identifiers: We may automatically collect a device identifier for the computer, mobile device, technology or other device you use to access our WiFi to enable us to enhance our service to you.
• Other device information: We may also automatically record certain information from your device including, device type, the web pages, apps or sites that you visit, and the dates and times that you visit, access, or use our WiFi (Internet activity information). This information may be associated with your loyalty number as this data helps us to manage our networks and provides us with information about the use of our WiFi. We do not, however, collect and process the contents of email communications or other electronic communications you send or receive when using our WiFi.
• Location information: We may collect information about your location through your use of the WiFi services we provide at GVH Properties to enable us to improve our service and provide certain services to you including customized offers and promotions.

We are committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of the information that you provide to us. To do this, technical, physical and organizational security measures are put in place to protect against any unauthorized access, disclosure, damage or loss of your information. The collection, transmission and storage of information can never be guaranteed to be completely secure, however, we take steps to ensure that appropriate security safeguards are in place to protect your information.

Managing your preferences and information
We remind you that you have the power to control the information that you provide to us, including how we communicate with you and that you contact us to update your information if any of it is inaccurate or obsolete.

Children
